As our new colleague and Chartering Manager, you\'ll be an integral part of NORDEN\xe2\x80\x99s newly established Capesize team, purposefully working to drive our vessels toward even greater growth and new horizons in the maritime industry. The position is situated at NORDEN\xc2\xb4s office in Singapore located at Suntec City.

You will be reporting to the Head of Cape, Jesper Andersen, who is based in the Copenhagen office.

The tasks that await you
As the Chartering Manager in NORDEN, you will be involved in the entire process of overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of vessel activities. To be more specific your work will among others revolve around:

  • Establishing and maintaining external as well as internal relationships with customers, brokers, owners, internal stakeholders, etc.
  • Maximising earnings on own tonnage.
  • Creating direct value through your work around short-term contracts, tonnage, and cargoes.
  • Obtaining, analysing, formulating, and sharing market information and views.
  • Collaborating with the Operations team on voyages to proactively optimize results, ensuring high-level service to clients.
  • Developing strategic trades enabling growth globally.
The position includes global and broad stakeholder touchpoints, which also implies that business travel is to be expected.

Your competencies and core qualifications
To thrive in the position of Chartering Manager you must get energy from, and feel comfortable being in, contact with different stakeholders throughout each day.

Further, it is important that you can see yourself in the following statements:
  • You hold at least 3 years of experience in Dry Cargo Chartering.
  • You have a proven history within the far east markets.
  • You have experience with trading and optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes.
  • You hold an understanding of hedging and FFA.
