Odette is award-winning Chef-Owner Julien Royer's first restaurant, located at the iconic National Gallery Singapore. Working with the world's best boutique producers, Odette serves Modern French cuisine that is guided by Royer's lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir and artisanal produce sourced from boutique producers around the world. Odette is named in tribute to Royer's grandmother who taught him how some of the most remarkable dishes can come from the purest ingredients, and believed in ensuring that the fundamental pleasures of enjoying a meal are delivered in the most thoughtful, welcoming and hospitable manner. This ethos has directed every aspect of the Odette experience, harking to a new age in fine dining.

The Front-of-House team is looking to welcome a Chef de Rang into its ranks. At a supervisory level, you will have the ability to run a section and effectively supervise the junior members of the service team. Attention to detail will be crucial to ensure that our guests leave with an awesome experience that leaves them yearning for more.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Guaranteeing the highest level of guest satisfaction and ensuring each guest receives a great experience every time
  • Greet guests as they arrive if the Head Waiter is otherwise engaged
  • Discovering the desire of our guests and therefore maximizing sales opportunities
  • To have a good knowledge of all dishes and of the menus
  • To participate in service and be aware of how the role affects the smooth running of the restaurant
  • Demonstrate promptness, anticipation, and organization to deal with the different aspects of the position
  • If dishes require tableside preparation or presentation, you will be required to perform these duties
  • Checking back on guests showing interest and care
  • Clearing tables during and after meals and processing guest payments
  • To record any losses through spoilage or waste and report to the Head Waiter immediately
  • Maintaining a good housekeeping regime and report any defects in furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • To take care of all equipment given to you, and report any loss or damage
  • Be willing to help whenever possible and to understand the flexibility required when business levels peak and trough, to deliver the best possible service
We are looking for:
  • Individuals who are passionate about delivering the highest levels of service with a desire to learn and work hard
  • Experience in a fine dining setting will be advantageous for the role
  • Individuals who place a high emphasis on being well-groomed and possesses good communication skills
  • Team players in a upbeat, fast-paced working environment
  • Those who are keen to progress their career in fine-dining and French cuisine
