They are currently looking for an experienced Global Sourcing Manager to further optimize the growing business operations with a robust and harmonized processes across the region.
Main Duties & Responsibilities They are currently on an active look out for a relevant candidate as a ChemicalsSourcing Expert, who is excited about spearheading initiatives and to actively assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive procurement strategy for the strategic sourcing of Raw Materials necessary for the manufacturing of the required finished goods, in alignment with the company\xe2\x80\x99s business initiatives, as part of the pioneer team member in the newly set-up Global Sourcing & Trading Hub. You will also take ownership of overseeing market analysis for categories concerned, as well as the regional category spend for the betterment of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s innovation and procurement performance, by means of consolidating commodity procurement operations at the global level.
Key responsibilities of this Strategic Role, reporting to the Senior Director:
You are responsible for defining the categories/commodities strategies \xe2\x80\x93 managing budget and timing requirements \xe2\x80\x93 in accordance to the Global\'s medium and long-term strategies
You are to establish and implement plans to develop and innovate the regional procurement processes
You are to conduct market analysis and monitor the commodity market pricing so as to ensure optimal value for the purchasing department, applying internal methodologies, procedures and tools when necessary, ensuring a realistic Total Cost of Ownership
You will streamline regional supplier base by means of effective monitoring and controlling dashboards, comparing external and internal purchasing structure support and supply reliability to the manufacturing sites, in line with operational quality regulations and standards
You are to take charge of risk profile evaluation for categories involved, ensuring minimal risk implications on product availability in view of potential price volatility and ever-changing market situations.
Possesses a Degree in Engineering or Economics or Business, or any related discipline
Minimum 3 years of Chemical Commodity Trading experience, preferably in the FMCG / Automotive / Chemicals / Plastic / Textile manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Global Chemicals Procurement, to keenly seek to raise levels of performance by establishing an improvement process or setting specific and measurable targets to cater to the organization\xe2\x80\x99s business needs
Well-versed in regulatory and procurement quality requirements and also excellent in spoken and written English to achieve effective and conclusive business negotiations and project management capabilities
Strong influencing & negotiation skills with a proven track record in implementation of appropriate standards, specifications and agreements and to gain \xe2\x80\x98buy-in\xe2\x80\x99 from internal & external stakeholders
