CPG is responsible for developing and executing strategies with the primary goals of reducing credit risk concentration and losses from credit events. The business can execute these objectives via a variety of methods including loan assignments, macro hedges and other bespoke derivative hedges. The Asia Lending Product Controller team are responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle, performing critical reporting functions for the organization including financial and regulatory, product valuation, improving ongoing processes and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture. Responsibilities: The Asia Lending Product Controller team is seeking to hire a highly motivated candidate to join the regional team based in Singapore and support the tasks below but are not limited to the following areas: . Assist with daily P&L reporting and month-end close processes including but not limited to review of financial data, investigating significant variances and transactions, fluctuation analysis, preparation of financial reporting deliverable, preparation of estimate accruals, perform reconciliations, general ledger substantiation etc. . Lead and manage all US external reporting impacting Lending and Trade & Working Capital business. . Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, footnotes, management's discussion and analysis and all other components of the filings. . Ensure internal control procures are in place and maintain SOX compliance. . Ensure financial information is in compliance with US & local GAAP and firm's corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate . Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives . Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner . Driving change and improvement in process in order to improve transparency and efficiency in month-end results. . Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control . Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis . Engage in New Business Initiatives and provide inputs related to accounting and booking issues. . Establish and maintain strong working relationship with various stakeholders (e.g. Front office Traders/Portfolio manager, Legal entity controller, Credit risk, Loan operations, Global controller team, Planning & Analysis group etc.) Requirements: . Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or external audit in the financial services industry . Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related area . Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA) an advantage . Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure . Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results . Experience reviewing/creating complex operational and general ledger process flows . Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters . Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills . Ability to manage several projects and tasks concurrently . Ability to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal financial controls . Advanced MS Excel skills and MS PowerPoint skills are essential . Team player and ability to work closely with global team members and other groups in the organization. . Good knowledge of SAP ledger system is preferred .
