Job Description

Job Summary:


Staff Management & Supervision


Scheduling, Create and manage staff work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and areas.


Training, Conduct initial and ongoing training for cleaning staff on procedures, chemical use, equipment operation, and safety protocols.


Performance Management, Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance reviews.


Team Leadership, Motivate, mentor, and lead the cleaning team to achieve high performance and morale.


Issue Resolution, Address and resolve employee conflicts attendance issues, and other personnel matters in accordance with company policy.





Quality Control & Inspection:


Regular Inspections: Perform routine and random inspections of all assigned areas (e.g., offices, restrooms, common areas, specialized rooms) to ensure cleaning standards are consistently met.


Quality Assurance, Implement and enforce company and client-specific cleaning standards and procedures.


Client Feedback, Actively seek and respond to client feedback and complaints, taking corrective action as needed.





Operational Management:


Inventory Control, Manage and order cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while controlling costs.


Equipment Maintenance, Ensure all cleaning equipment (e.g. vacuums floor scrubbers, burnishers) is properly maintained, serviced and stored.


Procedure Development, Assist in developing and improving cleaning methodologies, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)


Reporting, Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports on activities, staffing, inventory and quality metrics.


Health Safety & Compliance


Safety Enforcement, Ensure all staff adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and company safety policies.


Chemical Handling, Train staff on the safe handling, dilution, and application of cleaning chemicals as per Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).


Incident Reporting, Investigate and report any workplace accidents, injuries or safety hazards immediately.





Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional certifications BSCAI's Cleaning Management Institute are a plus.


2-5 of experience in a commercial cleaning role, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
