Job Description


KEY JOB OBJECTIVE 1. Provide psychological assessments and intervention services to adult, children and youth clients in YFC. 2. Serve as a clinical resource and consult in multi-disciplinary teams to collaboratively deliver holistic interventions for beneficiaries. 3. Support organisational effort in implementing psychological-informed and evidence-based practices in service delivery (e.g., trauma-informed care, risk management, mental health literacy).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Assessment

  • Conduct screening and formal psychological assessment for the domains of common mental health disorders in the community, trauma, at-risk behaviours, family violence.
  • Provide and discuss implications of assessment, formulation, recommendations for holistic intervention and management backed by empirical evidence to key stakeholders.
Intervention
  • Formulate evidence-based and data-driven intervention plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Provide evidence-based individual psychological intervention and group-based programmes.
  • Provide psychological and clinical inputs to teams of specialised professionals for case management to deliver optimal care for beneficiaries.
Organisational
  • Support organisational transformation to become psychological-informed in service delivery. This includes supporting the review of model of care and existing services, identifying agency and sectorial gaps and trends related to mental health and mental well-being, recommending and implementing evidence-based practices, and coaching of staff on therapeutic interventions.
  • Support development of protocols to support adoption of trauma-informed care (TIC) at centre and organisation.
  • Support practice research endeavours (led by research team) in organisation.
Requirements
  • Master Degree in Clinical Psychology or above, with 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a relevant field (community mental health or healthcare).
  • The candidate should be registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) as a Registered Psychologist.

  • Has a strong passion for marginalised populations (disadvantaged families, persons with mental health disorders, at-risk youths, children and young persons in Out-of-Home care),
  • Patience and desire to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children and young persons.
  • Can work independently, has a pleasant disposition and able to maintain good working relationships with other staff (good team player).
  • Good interpersonal skills to provide psychological support for adults and children.
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to beneficiaries.
