You have knowledge and experience with architecture of enterprise or cloud scale applications. You have experience of whiteboarding complex concepts to a technical & business audience. You are experienced Software Enterprise Architect with demonstrated skills in designing PaaS solutions, enterprise middleware and Java Spring microservices based mission-critical applications. You have an ability to collaborate and work interactively with our clients to ensure their successful deployment of Kubernetes platform on premise or cloud IaaS. We need someone that can empathize with clients and are technically curious with the appetite to learn and master emerging technologies. We aim to make deploying and upgrading workloads on Kubernetes simple, fast, and consistent. Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing Provide technical direction for the development, design of Cloud Native architectures, standards, and implementation approaches and systems integration for client engagement and product/ solution development from definition phase through implementation. As a member of the Cloud Native Architecture group, you will be expected to work with and contribute to its Kubernetes based microservices architecture, and all your deliverables must align with the group's development and deployment standards. Demonstrate leadership in IT management by producing strategic and innovative concept proposals, papers, and speaking at conferences. What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis As a new member of the Cloud Native Architecture team, you will: Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions. Communicate and enforce best practices for building and running applications on VMWare Tanzu Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Manages client interactions and expectations regarding architectures. Organizing tech talks and participating in meetups/events. What is the leadership like for this role What is the structure and culture of the team like This position report to the technical director of Cloud Native Architecture, a group focuses on uplifting the Cloud Native Ecosystem in Singapore and enabling our enterprise customers in Singapore and the regional economies. We are an established team that has a wide range of core platform expertise, and the expectation is that you will help blaze a new trail for the team. The team culture is one based on building trust and on-going development through coaching. Where is this role located Fixed: this role is based out of VMware's Singapore office and open to candidates in Singapore.
