Credit Products Delivery (CPD), under Commercial Bank Wholesale Lending Services (CB WLS), is a dedicated lending & trade finance execution support function with the ultimate goal of providing a superior client experience ensuring timely client focused service whilst retaining a strong risk and control framework locally and partnership with regional and global teams to deliver consistently across J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank and Commercial Bank. The team supports the Bankers and Trade Sales and works closely with business partners across Credit, Legal, Compliance and line of business operations to deliver a client focused support model and seamless execution. Role:

The individual will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of the support for credit transactions - primarily focusing on lending instruments including working capital loans, trade financing and arranged overdrafts in Singapore including successful delivery across infrastructure, operating model, resourcing, controls and regulatory framework.

In carrying out this role the key responsibility is the facilitation and management of the deal lifecycle from mandate through to execution and serving as the first point of contact for Bankers and Trade Sales, providing transaction support (particularly for cross-border and complex transactions), and managing the document execution and deal closing process. In addition, this role will also involve managing strategic enhancements and executing change initiatives on behalf of CPD and supporting MIS reporting.

The role will report to the Head of Singapore Credit Product Delivery.This position will be based in Singapore. Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with and support business partners across Global Corporate Bank, Commercial Bank, Credit, Product, Legal and line of business operations
  • Drive the end to end transaction execution process across support teams ranging from front office (including Credit Risk, Bankers, Sales) to back office (including Documentation, Collateral and core transaction processing teams) providing leadership, transparency and accountability
  • Delivery of best-in-class credit documentation processes including managing the execution of credit facility letters, deal closing process, ownership of sourcing and reviewing client constitutional documents and conditions precedent
  • People Management - Lead a team and manage resource, capacity and work-load of the team. Acts as a key point of escalation for BAU issues.
  • Develop and own location's performance-based metrics and drive CB WLS wider projects & initiatives
  • Work directly with Business and Technology partners in setting priorities within the competing business strategies
  • Work across functional areas to ensure all operational, financial and technology risks have been addressed
Qualifications :

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skill set:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience of Credit Administration / Transaction Management / Credit Execution demonstrating strong credit product knowledge; a thorough understanding of the transaction cycle of credit documentation and the associated risks and regulatory requirements
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience
  • Minimum Bachelors degree
  • Leadership, strong people management and relationship management experience, including demonstrated partnership with the Business, Technology and Corporate groups
  • Lead by example; set high standards of performance for self and others
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present precise, concise and summarised analysis to senior executives
  • Good organization skills, and ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, including strong prioritization skills
  • Think strategically and tactically to design process improvement ideas with the flexibility to adjust to new innovations, regulations, and priorities
  • Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Exhibit initiative to raise issues to appropriate staff when needed
  • Strong control mindset, focuses on continual improvement and capacity management
  • Fluency in English a nd Mandarin - will interact with clients based in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
