Role Summary: Risk Controller for Commercial and Trading operations of Apical.
Responsibilities:
You are on a journey to join an exciting Company and be part of our success story. Here we will equip you with the know-how and experience that will define your growth. In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:

• Business Partner to the group’s palm oil trading and distribution businesses.
• Strengthen and manage the trading & market risk control interface with the traders and related functions including execution, middle office, and operations
• Oversee the daily reporting of P&L, including business analysis and commentaries on the P&L drivers.
• To strengthen processes relating to daily P&L preparation to monitor business performance and ensure its accuracy
• Manage / control the price, forex, credit and counterparty risks through business processes and monitoring mechanism
• Improve and implement on risk management processes including system implementation and ensure controls are in place for check and balance
• Implements the operational financial control procedures in the area, in accordance with internal policies/directives.
• Stakeholder management.
• Debt management and collection.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Management and make recommendations on both strategy and operations to strategically enhance financial performance business decisions and opportunities.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting / requirements.
• Any other ad-hoc function assigned by the Management.

Requirements:
Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' regional strategic financial management experience from similar or commodities companies
• Business Partnering skills and a good team player
• Commercially-oriented with high energy, a ‘can-do’ attitude and hands-on
• Possess business acumen and strong commercial sense
• Experience in managing and developing policies for risk related to price, forex, trading, counter party and credit
• Driven, sharp, results orientated with strong understanding of business (operations and trading) and key drivers
• Degree in Accounting and professional accounting qualification including ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or CPA will be an added advantage
