They have recently launched a complimentary, technology-enabled commercial credit marketplace to facilitate accelerated global scale and impact beyond our current reach and provide a broader scope of services for their consumer, industrial, governmental and institutional ecosystem partners. About the Role The Business Development Manager reports to the CEO, leading and orchestrating the efforts to build a global network of strategic relationships with 'Sustainability Partners' (credit buyers) across all target segments, as well as support efforts to strengthen and develop the international network of plastic waste aggregators, transporters, and processors for the Plastic Credit Exchange Marketplace. You will be responsible for executing the company's mission to be the pioneering plastic offset company in the region, if not globally. The Commercial Director reports to the CEO, leading and orchestrating our efforts to build a global network of strategic relationships with 'Sustainability Partners' (credit buyers) across all target segments, as well as support efforts to strengthen and develop the international network of plastic waste aggregators, transporters, and processors for the Plastic Credit Exchange Marketplace. You will devise the overall commercial strategy build and manage the go-to-market activity, track critical metrics and KPIs for success, and ensure that our contracting and other supporting infrastructure are designed and executed in the most effective and efficient manner possible. You will actively seek partnerships with a wide range of target Commercial Partners as well as international and local government agencies, and private and socio-civic organizations keen to join the growing movement providing solutions to the plastic pollution crisis. You will partner with the Founder, CEO, and leadership team in prioritizing, designing, and executing strategies for bringing more customers to the platform as we grow our portfolio of providers. You will work with cross-functional teams and industry partners at the senior C-Level. Key Responsibilities: . Design and execute a holistic commercial strategy for our client company, including segmentation and prioritization of Sustainability Partner targets, metrics, and milestones for success, tools, infrastructure, and tracking . Lead and orchestrate commercial outreach efforts, developing sales/partnership collateral, partnering with CEO, founders, and others on go-to-market efforts . Oversee ongoing management and quality assurance of account management for existing partners to maximize retention, growth, and partner satisfaction (e.g., NPS) . Oversee development and implementation of all commercial operations, including CRM tools, contract design/execution, onboarding content/tools, tracking of retention/LTV, and other key commercial metrics . Ensure that a complete, best-practice set of internal and external regulatory documents (such as policies, manuals, procedures, job descriptions, etc.) exists and is modified/updated as needed . Develop operating discipline and practices that deliver effective and efficient commercial delivery . Partner with Solutions and Project Partner leader to ensure an attractive and balanced portfolio of projects to support commercial efforts . Communicate the commercial practices, approach, and results to various internal and external stakeholders in partnership with the leadership and the Marketing/PR leader Competencies: . Preferably at least ten (10) years of experience directly managing partner development, sales, relationship management, contracting, and/or operations. . Ideally, with experience in working across countries and various senior, C-level stakeholders. . Experience in building long-term partnerships and entrepreneurship . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Senior presence, gravitas, strong relationship skills . Has strong organizational skills and work ethic . Experience with an international environmental organization would be an advantage.
