Study project specification(s) to understand owner\'s requirements
Prepares material take off, cost breakdowns on price schedule format specified by customers
Source, evaluate and select subcontractors/vendors quotations to meet project tender and pricing requirements
Prepares cost estimate(s), cost breakdown and cost summary based on technical/engineering inputs and customers\' tender requirements
Prepares work summary and pricing proposal based on owner\'s specification
Attends sales discussions, tender clarifications for sales follow up
Making sales calls on specific projects
Attends ship inspection and or discussion with owners representative of the work scope in yard, local or overseas when required
Coordinates with technical and project team on technical proposal submission and enquiries
Performs cost trends studies to identify potential risks in project design development to devise guideline for cost estimates
Maintains cost database as information collation for past estimating cases and studies
Any other related work as required (preparing of telexes, faxes and checking of the typing of the quotation, prices, etc)
Requirements:
Bachelor in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical and/or Electrical/ Instrument)
Other engineering fields may be considered if the candidate has sufficient multi-discipline knowledge and experience
Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Advanced user of Microsoft Office products
