Our client, a leading environmental and waste management solutions provider, is seeking an experienced

Commercial & Legal Affairs Manager

to play a strategic role at the intersection of business growth, compliance, and operational excellence.


This is

not your typical contract role

. You will act as the commercial guardian of the business, using your legal expertise and commercial acumen to manage high-value contracts, mitigate risks, and maximize profitability. Working closely with cross-functional teams in sales, operations, finance, and legal, you'll ensure all commercial activities support corporate objectives and environmental sustainability goals.

What You'll Do

Contract & Tender Management:

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts and tenders -- from bid preparation, review, negotiation, to execution and renewal.

Legal & Risk Advisory:

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.

Commercial Strategy:

Partner with management to structure competitive, profitable offers, tenders, and service contracts.

Negotiation & Drafting:

Review and negotiate commercial agreements, subcontractor terms, and procurement contracts alongside the legal team.

Performance & Compliance:

Track contract KPIs, manage claims or variations, and ensure obligations are delivered on time and compliantly.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, partners, and subcontractors on commercial matters.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive best practices in contract management and contribute to process and policy enhancements.

What We're Looking For

Degree in

Law, Business Administration, Engineering

, or a related field.

5-8 years

' experience in commercial management, contract administration, or legal advisory -- ideally in

waste management, oil & gas, engineering, or construction

. Strong understanding of

contract law, risk analysis, and claims management

. Skilled in

drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts

with keen attention to detail. Excellent

interpersonal and stakeholder management

skills. Financially literate with experience in

budgeting and cost analysis

. Passionate about

sustainability

and making a real impact in ecological transformation.
