Restaurant concept: Omakase Japanese Cuisine (Fine Dining)

Job Summary:

The Commis shall prep all food ingredients, be able to cook all dishes on the menu, and ensure the food prepared is consistent and of superior quality.

Job Responsibility:

• Support the Japanese Executive Chef in ensuring the smooth running of kitchen operations.
• Carry out preparation of dishes and ingredients for the shift.
• Prepare and execute menu dishes to the highest standards.
• Ensure food prepared is consistent and of superior quality.
• Handle all kitchen equipment properly and ensure they are kept in good working condition.
• Carry out daily general kitchen duties which include, but are not limited to,

• Setting up and cleaning kitchen equipment and workstations

• Cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas

• Trash disposal

• Organize and ensure kitchen space is clean and tidy in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.
• Any other job-related duties requested from senior staff

Requirements:

• Has some kitchen experience.
• A mindset of someone being willing to learn and continuously improve.
• Ability to Skilfully multitask
• Attention to detail
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.

Remuneration: Starting basic salary from S$2000 per month excluded overtime pay (commensurate with experience). Overtime claimable.

Working Hours:

• 5.5 days work week
• Fixed every Sunday off and Monday half-day (AM) off
• From 1030h to 2230h (Tue - Sat) and 1700h to 2230h (every Monday)
• break time from 1430h to 1700h
