Role Summary

This role will primarily lead the development and implementation of our COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid) external communications in Singapore. Reporting into Pfizer External Communications Manager, this position is expected to be proactive and creative in executing impactful product communications, public education and disease awareness opportunities in partnership with our cross-functional leaders.

Role Responsibilities

• Product communications, public education and disease awareness communications for COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid).
• Liaise with global Biopharmaceuticals Category/TA communications teams and regional marketing teams to support communications plan/initiatives related to COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid).
• Provide guidance on key external communications activities related to the COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid) for the Country Manager and other functional leads, and support content development, collaborating with other Biopharmaceuticals communications teams.
• Partner closely with Public Affairs & Policy, Media Relations, Patient, Healthcare Experience team, Medical and other Corporate Affairs functions, in order to boost reputation and recognition for COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid).
• Partner COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid) commercial team, ensuring alignment with global messaging and priorities and that local team has the external communications support needed to execute on local commercial strategies.
• Provide issues management support as a key member of rapid response team to provide external communications support on COVID franchise (Comirnaty + Paxlovid) issues that may arise.
• Manage local country PR agencies and any outsourced communications support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required, preferably in communications, English or related field.
• 3+ years of experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering communications strategies and plans in a large, complex organization.
• Scientific knowledge/background.
• Solid external communications experience.
• Strong issues management skills and experience.
• Strong ability to work effectively across functions and levels; proven collaborator.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
