The Opportunity

We aim to further shape and advance the way diabetes is treated by leveraging our integrated Personalised Diabetes Management approach (iPDM) - a holistic, patient-centric concept to diabetes management that includes connected devices, services, and digital solutions in an open ecosystem which will contribute to limiting the progression of the disease, and improving outcomes thus eventually promoting healthcare system sustainability. In order to do so, we are continuously refining our internal structures and processes to best serve evolving customer and market demand in a seamless and agile way. This enables us to deliver on our commitment to augment access to the most innovative iPDM solutions tailored to the needs of people with diabetes, their caregivers and healthcare systems - today and in the future.

As Communications Manager, Asia Emerging and Mature Markets within the Commercial Communications Chapter of the Roche Diabetes Care Global Communications team, you will play an important role in developing and implementing relevant aspects of the iPDM Strategy and thereby contribute to the overall Diabetes Care Vision at Roche.

Job Facts & Responsibilities

Based in one of Roche Diabetes Care`s (RDC) offices, the Communications Manager, Asia Emerging and Mature Markets will develop and implement internal and external communications strategies for the Roche Diabetes Care Commercial organisation to drive business performance while strengthening organisational culture and employee engagement.

As a Communications Manager, you will engage across and beyond the RDC organisation to build integrated internal and external communications strategies and activities, while working cross-functionally to implement best-in-class organisational communications and change management practices.

The position reports to the Direct Market Communications Lead for China, Asia Emerging Markets and Asia Mature Markets within the RDC Global Communications team.

Your responsibilities will fall into the main areas listed below:

Responsible for localisation and deployment of campaigns and initiatives for the Asia Emerging and Mature Markets, engaging cross-functionally in collaboration with the Editorial Planning & Content, Public Relations and Communications Operations Chapters within the Roche Diabetes Care Global Communications team.

Manage the internal and external positioning and overall reputation of RDC, our products and services and the value these bring to patients, providers and other key stakeholders, as well as positioning Roche Diabetes Care as an employer of choice. Supports the communications effort in local issues, conflict and crisis management.

Support the General Manager/Cluster Head(s) of Asia Emerging Markets and their Leadership Team(s) in creating visibility and building inspirational, transparent internal communications while enabling the RDC business transformation locally.

Research and write articles; incorporate compelling content within digital and traditional communications to tell company and employee stories with one voice; expands the visibility of our brands and integrated diabetes management solutions that engage patients and bring us closer to them.

Engage a cohesive stakeholder network across and beyond Roche Corporate, Roche Diagnostics, Marketing, Sales, Medical and other key functions in support of integrated planning, together with colleagues from across Roche Diabetes Care Global Communications team. Leverage this trusted network and seize the unique opportunity to help transform the way we work in Roche Diabetes Care Communications.

As part of the Global Communications team, co-create and execute on Global Communication topics and projects. Where applicable, responsible for managing external vendors to meet business objectives within defined scope, timeline and budgetary guidelines.

Support and optimise communications channels, internal processes and vendor relationships with a focus on continuous improvement (i.e., press releases, internal newsletters, compliance and editorial guidelines).

Ensure that all company compliance and ethics standards are met.

Who You Are

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience, required.

At least 2 years of related global/regional business experience as an in-house corporate communication consultant, preferably within the Pharma, Diagnostics, Medical Device or Consumer Healthcare industry.

Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Very effective at distilling complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise and engaging communications.

Solid interpersonal and partnering skills: proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders. Proven ability to work effectively in a networked, matrix and multicultural environment.

High degree of comfort operating in ambiguity; Able to work autonomously and thrive in a non-hierarchical, self-organising environment, where teams form around projects and initiatives.

Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin and/or Cantonese, as well as local language for the assigned Market or Cluster.
