What a Communications Manager - Southeast Asia does at HP:
Drive earned, paid, shared, and owned media strategy across SEA; manage agency, budget and planning
Define and execute integrated communications plan aligned to country priorities, narratives, new product introductions and campaigns
Deliver communications strategies supporting our gaming portfolio, strategic growth areas across SEA
Lead thought leadership campaigns to increase our brand awareness amongst gamers and priority audiences (including Gen Z and young millennials)
Support to NPIs relevant for the countries, product reviews, interviews, LinkedIn posts
Serve as trusted counsel and partner to local Country leadership
Lead local Country MD\xe2\x80\x99s thought leadership in partnership with pan-region content lead
Oversee the country communications plan based on global strategy and local priorities
Accountable for strategy, execution and KPIs (reach and engagement)
Own and lead local crisis comms and external response
Attend Market staff calls to ensure country plans align to Market priorities and plans
Reports to Greater Asia Communications Lead
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Journalism or Communications (preferred)
Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a global remote team
Media-savvy with experience across earned, owned, shared, and paid media
8+ years of experience, working for fast paced brand or agency with a solid understanding of the SEA media landscape
Experience in tech a bonus but not a must
Proven expertise in the art of storytelling
Blend of strategic mindset with hands-on communications skills
Excellent narrative development, writing and editing skills
Exceptional project management and prioritisation skills
Ability to quickly ramp-up and make an immediate impact
Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Superior communications and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships with key journalists, influencers, and stakeholders
Experience managing a budget and day-to-day operations
Fluency in English required
