THE OPPORTUNITYPlan International is currently implementing the second phase of the development of a communication for development strategy for the Alternative Learning System (C4D ALS). The project will develop context-specific Social Behavior Change strategies for the pilot sites in Northern Samar, Angeles City, Pampanga, and Zamboanga del Norte.In line with this project, Plan International invites competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position.The Community Development Facilitatorwill support the Project Coordinator, partner agencies, and communities to conduct responsive messaging to reach out to potential learners, and facilitate the co-creation of relevant and appropriate information, education, and communication materials with the partners and communities.Further, as the Community Development Facilitator:

• You will be responsible for coordinating and planning with partners the activities set for the social behavior change strategies in the target communities.
• You will coordinate with national government partners in the implementation of the social behavior change strategies and other related alternative learning systems activities.
• You will develop case stories and good practices observed in the project.
• You will assist in the preparation for the procurement process in the development of communication materials.
• You will provide regular reports on the progress of the implementation.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or another related course.
• Has relevant experience and training in community organizing, strategic communication, or advocacy building.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in development work.
• Previous work experience in Education-related projects or in a similar project or organization is an advantage.
• Must be able to exhibit values of integrity and diversity.
• Skills in the use of Microsoft Office are highly desirable.
• Very good verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
• Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff is required to follow IATF protocols and guidelines, especially during travel or face-to-face interactions with project partners. The organization also has additional protocols put in place for activities that require in-person events.Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
