Inculcating compliance culture within the organization
Assisting business units in identifying and reducing compliance risks
Advising business units on compliance and general ethics issues
Preparing policies and other communications for regulatory review
Job Responsibility
Reviewing and creating compliance training materials, and providing in-person compliance training
Rendering guidance on global and local compliance policies, including conflicts of interests and anti-corruption and bribery, as well as general ethics issues
Carrying out internal investigations into potential violations of law or policy
Reviewing and drafting casino policies that require approval of/notification to regulators (guiding principles); rendering guidance based on such guiding principles
Reviewing standard operating procedures for business units
Planning and executing multiple short-term and long-term projects
Assisting in the enforcement of regulatory compliance for the company
Preparing communications for regulatory review both locally and globally, e.g. Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, Nevada Gaming Control Board, U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control
Communicating and coordinating with various business units to address compliance risks and issues
Ensuring proper record keeping
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certification
Recognised law degree and admitted to legal practice
Recognised compliance certification preferred
Experience
At least 3 years of legal practice experience (relevant experience in a compliance department of a multi-national company or regulator will also be considered).

Outstanding critical analysis and reasoning skills
Organised and meticulous
Strong project management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain legal and compliance concepts to non-legally trained colleagues
Awareness of commercial and operational issues and challenges associated within the industry
Experience in working with government regulators is preferred
