Position: Contractor - Marketing & Communications Specialist, APAC
Location: Singapore
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications APAC

The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for coordinating the smooth operation of the Asia Pacific marcom activities as well as leading and executing various on-line and off-line marketing tools including conference, event, website, email, webinar, social media, and new media and digital tools. Working with the Sr. Mgr. Marcom APAC, sales, support and lead generation stakeholders, the individual in this role coordinates our marketing and promotional activities in order to create awareness, generate high quality leads, and report ROI.

General Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute event experiential, digital and web marketing campaigns, including (but not limited to) emails, webinars, landing pages, social media channels and display advertising. Coordinate with distributors on leads follow-up and nurturing.
  • Manage event logistics in support of the team. From helping to liaise with vendors/distributors/partners, working on audience generation activities, booking of space, booth and stand design in ensuring every aspect of our events are well organized.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and localize our social media presence in APAC with our distributors through the Social Media team at corporate.
  • Create, coordinate, and manage APAC-level localized marketing collaterals including print and digital formats
  • Coordinate the creation of content (e.g., conference banners, display advertising, email banners, any other graphics).
  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of marketing and communications activities (e.g., update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical information, trackers and so on).
  • Creating, curating and distribution of monthly newsletters to APAC distributors and service providers.
  • All tasks and responsibilities above will require close interaction with APAC Marcom Manager, Territory Marketing Managers, APAC Marketing Director, APAC Territory Account Managers, Corporate Stakeholders and APAC Distributor marketers.

Preferred Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing, digital media, social media
  • An interest in biological science will be a focus or relevant scientific background with a penchant for marketing communication would be ideal.

Preferred prior experience:
  • The candidate should have between 1+ years of experience as a digital marketing, marcom or event experiential marketing coordinator or specialist.
  • Demonstrable experience coordination of, leading and managing marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns independently or as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo or Pardot), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), media editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite; Final Cut Pro) and MS Office or iWork applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, Pages, Sheets).
  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant or coordinator or specialist.
  • Good understanding of basic/fundamental marketing principles.
  • Well-organized and demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Fluent English language skills both written and verbal, a second language will be a bonus.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time for regional meetings and conferences.

Additional Information:
  • Contract position with the possibility of conversion to an employee role after 12 months
  • Hybrid work arrangement terms are acceptable and can be further negotiated.
