Job Description

The Warehouse Hotel was built in 1895 along the Singapore River as part of the Straits of Malacca trade route. At that time, the area was a hotbed of secret societies, underground activity, and liquor distilleries. Today, while much of that history has disappeared, one building has been meticulously restored as a modern 37-room boutique hotel, focusing on heritage and local culture. Open as of January 2017, it delivers thoughtful hospitality with historically-detailed rooms, classic local dishes and craft cocktails in the vibrant neighbourhood of Robertson Quay.

We are looking for a passionate cook to fill a vacant spot in our kitchen staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant.

A good candidate for this job is a person with attention to detail who can keep the kitchen tidy and clean all while preparing, cooking, and arranging food together with the rest of our kitchen staff. We pride ourselves in our exceptional service, and we expect nothing less from our cooks. The advantage goes to candidates with a diploma from a culinary school.

Responsibilities of a Cook:

\xe2\x97\x8f Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.

\xe2\x97\x8f Checking the quality of the ingredients.

\xe2\x97\x8f Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.

\xe2\x97\x8f Cooking food using various culinary techniques.

\xe2\x97\x8f Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation.

\xe2\x97\x8f Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.

Requirements:

\xe2\x97\x8f Valid food hygiene cert and an interest in Asian cuisine

\xe2\x97\x8f Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must know and follow sanitation procedures.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must showcase great organizational skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
