Under strict supervision, places purchase orders using established sources for materials and services under category management control or locally sourced. Identifies material orders for expediting, de- expediting, or cancellation. Interprets production schedule, utilizes knowledge of manufacturing processes and identifies requirements to meet the production needs. Works with master schedulers to eliminate material constraints that negatively impact production schedule. Assists in ensuring that supplier lead times are valid and current. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Completion of an undergraduate degree in any discipline preferred. Without an undergraduate degree, experience in procurement or production environment preferred. Experience in manufacturing production, scheduling, or warehousing is preferred. SAP Purchase to Pay Module experience preferred.
