:About J.P. Morgan Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) groupJ.P. Morgan is a top tier liquidity provider in global macro markets offering competitive pricing across commodities products, 300 currency pairs in cash and derivative products. We offer a full spectrum of Commodities products - from plain vanilla to exotic options; from commodities, major currencies to emerging markets. The Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) group drives systematic trading within this space and are responsible for algorithmic pricing, automated risk management and hedging, and intelligent order execution strategies.The trading strategist will work as part of the ATS front-office team on the Commodities floor in London with primary focus on Commodities markets, primarily Precious and Base metals, Energy and Indices. The environment is fast-paced and challenging. The individual must be responsible, independent and able to work in smooth coordination with the larger team to drive the desk\'s revenue.The individual needs to work closely with the desk to drive revenue and expand the business. Apart from that, he/she is also expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. These include designing trading and execution strategies; researching micro-patterns and trends; building, maintaining and upgrading applications & tools; supporting day-to-day operation. You will work as part of the Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) front-office team in Singapore with primary focus on Commodities markets. You must be responsible, independent, driven, and able to work in smooth collaboration with the wider team. The group is globally distributed, clear written and verbal communication is required.Job responsibilities

• Data analysis to identify patterns and revenue opportunities
• Research to develop models and methods to solve practical trading problems
• Back testing and assessing pricing, risk management and execution strategies
• Reviewing trading performance data and making data driven decisions
• Maintaining and improving trading software systems and tools
• Expanding the group\'s library of modeling, analytics, and automation tools
• Resolving day-to-day trading issues

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Commodities quantitative trading or similar roles
• Bachelor degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or other quantitative fields
• Strong programming skills in C++/Java or other object-oriented languages
• Excellent research skills
• Attention to detail, adaptable, driven and collaborative
• Interest in markets and systematic trading

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Foundational knowledge of statistic and data analysis techniques
• Interest or experience in market microstructure and systematic trading
• Knowledge of order types, L2 market data and central limit order books
• Experience with KDB+/q and python
