Job Description


Corporate Communications Executive Our client, Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre is a leading community-based social service agency, which provides a holistic range of services to support children, youths, families and seniors at multiple touchpoints across Singapore. The Executive/Senior Executive, Corporate Communications will work with the Strategic Communications & Partnerships team to develop effective communications strategies to grow AMKFSCs brand presence and strengthen advocacy efforts to create opportunities for disadvantaged groups across all ages to pursue a better future.

Roles and Responsibilities Communications Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute effective communication strategies to strengthen external communication channels, increase brand awareness, and grow supporter base. This includes digital marketing, campaign management, and content creation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to interview staff, clients, and other relevant parties to create and curate publicity content.
  • Draft and write speeches (on behalf of key leadership), interview responses, press releases, official agency announcements, publication content, and other written materials.
  • Support fundraising efforts by developing integrated campaigns, harnessing strategic partnerships, and preparing proposals, pitch decks, and impact reports to showcase our work and services to potential supporters, donors and partners.
Branding and Collaterals
  • Conceptualise and develop print and digital collaterals for internal and external audiences, such as EDMs, social media content, websites, brochures, greeting cards, posters, and other publicity or editorial materials
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to create collaterals and materials to meet the needs of the agency\'s programmes and services. This includes reviewing programme- or service-led collaterals to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Work with vendors and creative agencies to execute and manage key projects, such as the agency\'s Annual Report, website, branding guide, etc.
Public Relations & Media Management
  • Handle incoming media queries and crisis communication matters
  • Prepare media lists and conceptualise newsworthy angles for media pitches, in line with key agency events, campaigns and/or initiatives
  • Prepare press materials, such as press releases, info sheets, email pitches, and press kits, for media pitches
  • Develop relationships with relevant journalists, reporters, and KOLs, and find ways to partner mainstream and alternative news publications
  • Coordinate and organise key agency campaigns and events, such as townhalls, anniversary galas, etc.
Desired Skills and Competencies
  • Relevant Bachelors degree or Diploma, preferably in a related field of study.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a communications or creative-related role. Prior experience in a PR/creative agency will be an advantage.
  • Experience in the areas of corporate communications, corporate branding, public relations, media relations, marketing and crisis management
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Digitally-savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and Canva. Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical ideas to content that is easily understood by internal and external stakeholders.
  • A creative knack to produce original compelling copy that sufficiently informs but also attracts, engages, and inspires audiences towards a desired outcome
  • Attention to detail and meticulous with strong planning, organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and is also a good team player.
  • Proactive and able to deliver quality work within tight timelines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Passion and interest towards social causes and believes that every individual deserves an equal opportunity to pursue a better future.
