We are looking for an Associate level, client-facing Asia Rates strategist in Singapore to cover regional rates markets. The individual will work closely with economists and other strategists within the Asia Local Markets team to formulate top down and bottom-up views on Asian bond markets, issue trade recommendations, and deliver the firm\'s Asia Local Markets bond outlook to JPMorgan\'s global client base in- and outside the region.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience of publishing on Emerging Markets fixed income strategy and interfacing with clients. They should have a combination of strong technical skills as well as commercial acumen. Intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic and a team player mentality are necessary attributes to excel in this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyzing macroeconomic themes and technical drivers affecting Asian rate markets to formulate views and investment recommendations at top down regional and bottom-up country levels
• Collaborating with the rest of the Asia strategy team, economists and colleagues in the global Emerging Markets team to formulate forecasts and views
• Frequently marketing and communicating views to external clients and internal sales and trading teams via published reports, webinars, client roadshows and conferences, etc
• Building and managing analytics and quantitative models

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Minimum 5 years\' experience covering Emerging Markets fixed income markets at a financial institution
• Master\'s degree in Finance, Economics or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ) discipline
• Familiarity with economic and financial databases such as Haver and Bloomberg
• Strong grasp of macroeconomics, financial economics and fixed income markets
• Strong analytical skills; good knowledge of statistics and econometrics/data science
• Strong communication and good presentation skills. Good interpersonal skills and proven team player.
