Job Description


Work in School - Bartley RoadSalary: monthly rate of $10 - $16 (depending on experience and qualifications)Purpose: To provide counselling support to students through art therapy on an individual or group basis during the school term, under the guidance of the school counsellorContract period: 15 Jul 2024 - 14 Nov 2024 (Approximately 4 months)Working hours:

  • 10 hours per week, on a minimum of 2 workdays per week.
  • Monday and Wednesday between 10am to 3pm or as otherwise mutually agreed by both parties.
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as well as on days where students are not
in school (e.g. school holidays, PSLE examination and marking days):To provide counselling support through art therapy for identified students on an individual or small group basis (Not more than 10 students).
  • To work under the supervision of the school counsellor and vice-principal of the school
  • Shall sign a confidentiality undertaking to protect student and official information.
  • To follow school\xe2\x80\x99s SOP with regard to consultation and feedback to relevant school personnel on students counselled, dealing with parents, maintenance of counselling records, and handover of cases at the end of the contract to ensure continuity of support for the students.
  • To respect that the counselling records of pupils are the property of the school and that the records would not be taken out of school at any time without permission by school.
  • Must discuss assigned cases with the school\xe2\x80\x99s counsellor and/or other designated personnel.
Requirements:
  • Proof of professional training in art therapy from an accredited programme. Please state name and duration of programme in CV and provide with supporting documents
  • Minimally 3 months prior experience in providing art therapeutic service for children and youth. Please state duration and place of service delivery in the CV.
  • Prior provision of art therapeutic service in local Primary schools is preferred.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of the student profile they will be working with and communicate how art therapy can support the students.
  • The candidate should demonstrate good communication skills with stakeholders.
