Creative Technologist--PH
Overview
The Bloc PH is currently looking for talented and creatively driven technologists who are equipped with a wide variety of technical skillsets. The role of the Creative Technologist is bring ideas to life in the form of proof of concepts (POC), prototypes and proprietary software. This role will work closely with The Bloc's creative, new business, analytics and digital teams to provide demonstrations of these new technologies and concepts. This individual has a passion to learn new tech and has a finger on the technical pulse.

Our Manila office works in close collaboration with team members based in North America and Europe, delivering medical writing, editorial, and graphic design services.
Functions and Responsibilities
Knowledge/expertise
Analyzes specifications and translate project requirements to task specifications
Devises a cohesive strategy/approach for the project, and writing a top-quality strategy report
Prepares and leads demonstrations of products and prototypes
Provides recommendations to improve the performance and efficiencies of current products and prototypes
Teamwork/collaboration
Communicates and collaborates with digital team in NY as well as Manila team in terms of direction, task objectives, timelines, and expected utilization
Identifies potential difficulties, conflicts, and/or issues for clarification and proposes innovative solutions
Shows initiative in undertaking assigned projects to assume responsibility for the overall integrity of assigned tasks/projects
General functions
Displays a positive attitude
Organizes and prioritizes workload/assignments
Completes timesheets accurately and on time
Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Minimum of 4 years of experience in web design or development services.
Strong background in UX, IA, Creative Design and Tech Innovation
Must be highly analytical and knowledgeable about the latest software products
BA, BS, MS or equivalent experience
A solid understanding of Web User Interface Design, Web Programming Skills , Software Requirements, Software Architecture, Software Development Fundamentals, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Multimedia Content Development, Software Debugging, Version Control Systems
Strong Front-End development skills including framework-less HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Experience with Raspberry Pi and similar microprocessor minicomputers / single-board computers.
Experience with 3d engines such as Unity 3d and Unreal Engine 4.
Experience with JavaScript libraries such as Pyscript, d3 and p5.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
