Job Description


Principal Responsibilities Credit Advisory Specialist provides credit related advice and support to relationship managers by:

  • Identifying, marketing, structuring, negotiating and presentation of new credit opportunities and/or
  • Offering exceptional credit solutions for the complex and large credit needs of clients/MVC’s/GPCs and/or
  • Providing specialised expertise and advisory for a credit product and its related deals
  • To build and sustain a healthy credit pipeline
  • Ensure the optimal delivery of our credit products and capabilities to all eligible clients (with particular focus on MVC’s & GPCs) in both a direct client facing capacity or in co-ordination with RMs, as appropriate to the client requirements and level of complexity
  • Be the point of reference for a specific credit product(s) as required
  • Trains and advises RMs on credit products and/or in the area of identifying credit opportunities and marketing credit products and solutions to the client base
  • Risk assessment and credit structure recommendation
  • Monitoring the adherence to published guidelines including the implementation of any changes in GPB/PBGB Credit risk appetite
  • Stays abreast of legal and regulatory changes and industry trends
  • Balance objectives of client and risk management
  • Change debt structure/risk ratings in response to changes in risk
  • Minimise operational losses and control weaknesses
Requirements
  • Have proven sales skills, understands what drives new business, and how to interact with clients and prospective clients to develop high quality lending opportunities and relationships.
  • The following skills are required at the highest levels of excellence: credit analytics, interpersonal skills, portfolio management and risk management
  • CeMAP qualification
  • Completion of formal credit training strongly preferred
  • High quality collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
  • Highly trained and expert in credit products
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage relationship manager and client expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Excellent presentation skills
