Job Description

Role:

• Ensure that seafarers\' planning and procedures comply with relevant vessel, company, and client regulations.
• Aid the General Manager in crafting vessel budgets by analyzing crewing budgets and expense reports.
• Maintain accurate data in Crewing software, aligning seafarers\' skills with vessel requirements.
• Manage crewing operations within budget constraints, overseeing seafarer retention and rotation.
• Review wage scales and monthly budgets, documenting reasons for deviations from annual estimates.
• Provide regular performance feedback, establish clear expectations, and assess team performance.
• Address underperformance while planning promotions and constructive attrition to enhance team effectiveness.
• Orient seafarers on vessel-specific policies before their assignment.
• Supervise grievance investigations and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.
• Handle crewing issues from clients and seafarers, resolving them promptly and offering support during vessel crisis management.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Internally forecast crew recruitment needs based on requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for seafarers and their families, supporting their well-being and engagement initiatives.
• Promptly report occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses to P&I cell and regulatory bodies.
• Contribute as a high-performing team member, aligning performance with the company\'s business strategy and values.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Maritime Management or equivalent.
• Seafaring experience as a Deck Officer/Engineer Officer on Bulk Carriers, Container Ships, Car Carriers, or Tankers.
• Minimum of 2 years\' experience in Crewing for Dry Vessel fleets or Tankers.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of professional and courteous interaction with stakeholders and ship staff at all levels.
• Open-minded and flexible in task prioritization, willing to learn new responsibilities.
