Job Description


Responsibilities:1. Manage
\xe2\x80\x93 Assist the Seafarer Division Assistant Manager/Manager in daily tasks.
\xe2\x80\x93 Coordinate with crewing managers and manning agents.2. Monitor
\xe2\x80\x93 Evaluate the performance of crewing managers, manning agents, and their subcontractors.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ensure compliance with SIGTTO, officer qualification/experience matrices, and international standards.
\xe2\x80\x93 Monitor seafarer performance through appraisals.3. Appoint
\xe2\x80\x93 Collaborate with managers, superintendents, and manning agents.
\xe2\x80\x93 Adhere to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s safety management system (USMS) and suggest changes as needed.
\xe2\x80\x93 Track vessel schedules and plan crew changes.
\xe2\x80\x93 Review seafarer qualifications for compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ensure validity of documents, licenses, and endorsements.
\xe2\x80\x93 Maintain seafarer records such as appraisals, disciplinary actions, medical certificates, and drug and alcohol (D&A) results.
\xe2\x80\x93 Oversee appraisal records and provide guidance on effective appraisals.
\xe2\x80\x93 Assist in seafarer recruitment interviews.
\xe2\x80\x93 Support officer and cadet recruitment with the Technical Fleet Manager/Technical Superintendent/Marine Superintendent.
\xe2\x80\x93 Arrange pre-boarding briefings for senior officers.
\xe2\x80\x93 Attend meetings with manning agents.
\xe2\x80\x93 Prepare for annual manning agent audits and seafarer seminars.
\xe2\x80\x93 Help with filing and record-keeping of manning-related documents.
\xe2\x80\x93 Visit LNG vessels to build relationships and provide support.
\xe2\x80\x93 Report bi-annually to management on manning, crew composition, retention, recruitment, and training programs.
\xe2\x80\x93 Monitor industry manning and training standards and report changes to management.
\xe2\x80\x93 Assist in preparing manning budgets (OPEX), projections, and explanations.
\xe2\x80\x93 Process manning invoices and coordinate with the accounting department.
\xe2\x80\x93 Administer and reconcile ship-personnel-related personal injury and medical P&I insurance claims.Qualifications and Experience\xe2\x80\x93 Minimum of 2 years of shore experience in a ship management company, preferably in crew management.
\xe2\x80\x93 Proficient in computer skills, including: Microsoft Office, ShipNet, PAL and Shipmate
\xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of industry regulations such as STCW, MLC, ISM, IMO, TMSA, Flag state requirements, and crew documentation & licenses.
\xe2\x80\x93 Familiarity with industry-related database systems or ability to be trained as a high-level user.
\xe2\x80\x93 Understanding of the sea staff recruitment process.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ability to work with minimal supervision.
\xe2\x80\x93 Flexible and able to work across cultural lines.
\xe2\x80\x93 Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
