Job Description


Responsibilities:1. Manage
- Assist the Seafarer Division Assistant Manager/Manager in daily tasks.
- Coordinate with crewing managers and manning agents.2. Monitor
- Evaluate the performance of crewing managers, manning agents, and their subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with SIGTTO, officer qualification/experience matrices, and international standards.
- Monitor seafarer performance through appraisals.3. Appoint
- Collaborate with managers, superintendents, and manning agents.
- Adhere to the Companys safety management system (USMS) and suggest changes as needed.
- Track vessel schedules and plan crew changes.
- Review seafarer qualifications for compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Ensure validity of documents, licenses, and endorsements.
- Maintain seafarer records such as appraisals, disciplinary actions, medical certificates, and drug and alcohol (D&A) results.
- Oversee appraisal records and provide guidance on effective appraisals.
- Assist in seafarer recruitment interviews.
- Support officer and cadet recruitment with the Technical Fleet Manager/Technical Superintendent/Marine Superintendent.
- Arrange pre-boarding briefings for senior officers.
- Attend meetings with manning agents.
- Prepare for annual manning agent audits and seafarer seminars.
- Help with filing and record-keeping of manning-related documents.
- Visit LNG vessels to build relationships and provide support.
- Report bi-annually to management on manning, crew composition, retention, recruitment, and training programs.
- Monitor industry manning and training standards and report changes to management.
- Assist in preparing manning budgets (OPEX), projections, and explanations.
- Process manning invoices and coordinate with the accounting department.
- Administer and reconcile ship-personnel-related personal injury and medical P&I insurance claims.Qualifications and Experience- Minimum of 2 years of shore experience in a ship management company, preferably in crew management.
- Proficient in computer skills, including: Microsoft Office, ShipNet, PAL and Shipmate
- Knowledge of industry regulations such as STCW, MLC, ISM, IMO, TMSA, Flag state requirements, and crew documentation & licenses.
- Familiarity with industry-related database systems or ability to be trained as a high-level user.
- Understanding of the sea staff recruitment process.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and able to work across cultural lines.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
