Job Description

  • A personal passion for solving problems through the resourceful and effective application of IT
  • Minimum of 6 years IT experience that includes at least 3 years of full-stack hands-on software development with exposure to modern software practices, such as CI/CD, serverless and container usage, devops concepts and exposure to security concepts/best practices.
  • Experience with agile process, rapid prototyping, proof of concepts and demonstrations involving iteration of product design based on customer feedback. This could be solo end-to-end work or taking lead on more complex projects which may require the participation of other teams to deliver, such as UI/UX engineers.
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure engineering, or systems architecture in online environments
  • Possess both technical and customer-facing skills that will allow him or her to be a "trusted advisor" to customers. He or she will be able to facilitate relationships with senior personnel, as well as easily interact and give guidance to software developers, IT pros, and system architects. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Job summary
The Customer Experience Solution Architect (CX SA) is a builder at heart and is excited about building new experiences, demos and solutions to engage executive leadership, distilling hard to understand technical concepts or cloud jargon and making it accessible to non-technical business leaders. You will work closely with AWS Digital Innovation specialists and have the opportunity to bridge the gap between business needs and current technical offerings. In so doing, sparking new ideas for their business and identifying tech needs and gaps to shape and deliver experiences and demos. With your understanding of the customer landscape, you will work closely with our Innovation Solutions team to identify higher stack technologies and innovative workloads that can add value to our customers and increase time to value
Key job responsibilities
You will be expected to build and maintain the experiences, working closely with Solution Architects across APJ, to scale it and reach more customer executives. You will collaborate with customers, partners and other AWS teams to craft architectures, proof of concepts or demonstrations of our platform that work back from customer's business needs and accelerate the adoption of appropriate AWS technology. You will help shape and design solutions covering a spread of domains from migration of core enterprise applications to working with AI/ML and IoT to name a few. The ability to learn new technology and develop industry relevant architectures and convey business value is critical to the role.
A day in the life
Building relationships to understand our customers is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You'll ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with long-term goals. Speeding up adoption of our services will be part of your day-to-day. As a Builder, you'll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services. This is through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.
You must be comfortable working in a cross functional team in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
About the team
The APJ Digital Innovation team helps AWS' customers learn and use Amazon's innovation mechanisms to solve strategic problems that improve business and customer outcomes. In the process, we help customers define and build new products or services on AWS. We are team of business development and technical innovators that operate throughout Asia Pacific and Japan. We work on programs to scale digital innovation in our customers and in some cases programs that have a worldwide impact.
  • Deeper knowledge in an emerging technology, such as IoT/AI/ML/Robotics/ AR/VR/etc
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate
  • Executive speaking, facilitation and presentation skills - formal presentations, white boarding, large and small group presentations.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking and / or publications
