Responsibilities




Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be assisting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operations.

• Prepare & issue booking confirmation (Cross trade / Local export booking) to customers.
• Apply dangerous goods (DG) with carriers.
• Generate Bill of Lading (B/L) & issue invoice to customers.
• Pre-alert transhipment & destination ports on vessel arrival
• Manifest closure
• Update telex release or alert destination ports to release shipment.
• Generate & issue switch BL & cross invoices to customers.
• Monitor payment and issue receipts for customers
• Reserve vessel space with feeder operators.
• Prepare monthly sailing schedule for local export.
• Updates feeder schedule in system.
• LCL booking and necessary B/L issuance, pre-alert and monitor payment
• Detention & demurrage waiver & collection
• Empty equipment monitoring for local export release.
• Assist rate quotation & filing in the absence of the HOD.
• Some counter works when necessary
• Answering / transferring calls when necessary

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Business Studies/ Logistics & Operations Management / Maritime Transportation/ Nautical Studies or equivalent

- 1- 3 years of prior experience in shipping industry or in customer service will be an advantage

• Able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written
