Job Description
Benefits Summary:
- Freight Forwarding
- Basic up to $4000 + AWS + VB
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm; Saturday 9am to 1pm
- Newton
- Facilitate door-to-door shipments (exports and imports), including but not limited to transhipments, by coordinating various activities.
- Process airway bills, receive bookings, and provide customer service, while arranging for transportation and complying with EDI and CCN requirements.
- Ensure compliance with customs formalities by sending instructions to the customs broker, providing pre-alerts, monitoring shipment status, and handling shipment billing and/or invoicing.
- Label cargo and communicate with the warehouse regarding cargo details and movements, such as receiving and deliveries.
- Collaborate with project managers to coordinate shipments, devise strategies, and execute adhoc instructions.
- Plan consolidations to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Secure flight bookings with carriers and/or master loaders, while maintaining positive relationships with them.
- Perform general administrative duties as required.
