A key member of the regional engagement team, the Cyber Security Project Manager & Engagement Team Lead is responsible for client liaison, supporting our business development and technical teams, and coordinating the Cyber Security Engagement Coordination team to successfully deliver security assessments that support our core business. Working in a dynamic environment, as an experienced project manager you will be comfortable supporting multiple clients, engagements, and tasks that are assigned to you and the regional coordination team. Competent in planning, execution, and tracking of IT projects, you will take ownership of complex or large engagements for our key strategic clients. Your performance will be a key factor in ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining our high-quality service.
JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION
The Cyber Security Project Manager & Engagement Team Lead position contributes directly to the success of wizlynx Group. In summary, the mission to be performed in accordance with internal SOPs and guidelines will include the following:
Communication:

  • Own assigned projects/client programs (engagements) as the Single Point of Contact.
  • Implement appropriate project and program level governance for large engagements, i.e., status reporting cadence, weekly project status, and monthly steering committee, etc.
  • Develop relationships with client executives and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure proactive, timely, and open communication between the client and internal teams.
  • Interact with key company leaders to promote wizlynx group; actively promote and participate in wizlynx group social media.
Coordination Team:
  • Single Point of Contact and initial escalation point for the regional Cyber Security Engagement Coordination team.
  • Across regional engagements ensure:
    • Stakeholders are provided with regular status updates via formal status reporting and a meeting cadence.
    • Early issue visibility and tracking to mitigate risk and facilitate a faster resolution.

Coordination/Management:
  • Develop project and program level schedule/roadmap for multi-phase and large-scale client engagements.
  • Coordinate planning activities to ensure an efficient and risk-averse schedule. Including negotiating optimal conditions (restrictions and desired starting dates) with the client and internal resource assignment based upon client requirements.
  • Coordinate the request, timely delivery, and validation of prerequisite documentation and information from the client and/or internal teams.
  • Track, report, and follow-up activities throughout the execution of the engagement.
  • When required, plan and execute (lead the meeting) and follow-up actions for the client kick-off meeting.
  • Post engagement follow-up with the client to ensure satisfaction.
Coordination Team:
  • Assignment of engagements to the regional Cyber Security Engagement Coordinators.
  • Ensure the regional Cyber Security Engagement Coordination Team adheres to SOPs and guidelines including audit of supporting documentation.
  • Onboarding of new Cyber Security Engagement Coordinators.
  • Monitor KPIs for the regional Cyber Security Engagement Coordinators and provide feedback to management.
  • Consolidate learnings, best practice, and promote improvements in collaboration with other regions.

Administration:
  • Timely updates to internal systems to facilitate efficient and accurate tracking and reporting of the engagement.
  • Ensure control/milestone documents are completed, validated, signed, and distributed.
  • Maintain overall project documentation library.
  • Document (and distribute) key meetings within the engagement team and/or client.
  • Issue formal status reports and updates.
  • Track progress and completion of engagements, coordinating with the billing team to ensure timely payment collection.
Coordination team:
  • Audit and apply corrective actions to engagement documentation for the region.
  • Maintain Issues & Risk register for regional engagements.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years proven experience within IT project management, i.e., technical projects.
  • Experience in the delivery of Cyber Security projects is a bonus.
  • Comfortable working within an international multi-cultural environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Fluent technical English (speaking and writing).
  • Fluent Cantonese is a bonus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Strong grasp of current communication, project tracking, and budget management.
  • Excellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills, with proven knowledge of how to foster attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups.
  • Knowledge and experience of different project management frameworks and tools.
  • Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Being proactive, independent, and able to take decisions when facing challenges.
  • Team oriented with a collaborative and consultative work style.
  • Willingly to mentor more junior team members and share knowledge.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Customer friendly approach and appearance.
  • Risk averse mindset.
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
  • Excellent hands-on experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity tools and Microsoft Project.

SUMMARY OF EDUCATION
University or similar desirable.
