About the role

It\xe2\x80\x99s no secret that our intellectual property is critical to our success, but how do we keep it from the prying eyes of the bad guys? Dyson\xe2\x80\x99s Global Cyber Security department works effectively to keep our secrets secret and secure our crown jewels using advanced technologies and human analytical minds to stay one step ahead of the game. We use pragmatic approaches to transform cyber security to enhance our business resilience to better manage potential cyber disruption. We invest new cyber security capabilities and leverage our strong cyber security ecosystems to tackle future threats. You will be challenged to think like a hacker and anticipate their every move, researching the latest threats and exploring every angle. You will play a part in designing and developing security data analytics dashboard for cyber security domain, deep dive into the logs to make sense of the data and provide the insights via dashboard delivery, seeking requirements from the domain experts and enabling insights to detect the known or unknown unknown. This role will be very exciting if you\xe2\x80\x99re passionate about Cyber security, tracking down advanced persistent threats, data, analytics and data science Aside from security analytics, you will be exposed to security incident management, security engineering and various other security domains.

About you

Our internship roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be:

• In your penultimate year, working towards a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, IT or Cyber Security degree.
• Alternatively other degrees may be considered with inclusion of relevant Cyber Security degree modules, evidence of significance interest in the Cyber domain such as University Computer Societies, Capture the Flag, relevant technical courses or professional memberships.
• Data analytics knowledge and background is mandatory
• Able to evidence how you have applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities.
• Happy to build your own networks to learn from the technical expertise around you.
• Creative problem solver with the ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
• Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious future plans.
• Able to commit 6(minimum) to 12 months
