What the role is:ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore\'s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. • Engage various business clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities to value-add, translating these into analytics requirements and recommending solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Advise business clients in designing databases to manage information. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in making strategic data-driven decisions by analysing, manipulating, and reporting data. \xe2\x80\xa2 Use data visualisation software to create dashboards that enable clients to derive business intelligence. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with data science and analytics teams to create and implement data strategies, design data pipelines, and develop machine learning models and data products. \xe2\x80\xa2 Gather user feedback, and assist clients with troubleshooting and management of commercial analytics products. \xe2\x80\xa2 Keep abreast of business developments and advancements in the analytics field so as to propose the best solution.

What we are looking for:

• Applicants with no experience may apply \xe2\x80\xa2 The most important qualities are intellectual curiosity, dynamism and the ability to both work independently and as part of a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Passionate about using analytics to add value to the organisation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to connect with people and understand their needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with database design, data exploration, data manipulation and data storytelling. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in data visualisation software (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc). \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in any of the following would be a bonus: - Structured Query Language (SQL) - Programming languages (e.g. Python, R) - Data manipulation and visualisation libraries/ packages (e.g. pandas, dplyr, matplotlib, seaborn, ggplot) - Machine Learning/ Deep Learning techniques - Optimisation theory - Big data systems and data architecture \xe2\x80\xa2 Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
