The CompanyThis is a newly created, exciting Data Governance Manager to implement their data governance structure, for our client which prevails in the asset management industry.

The ResponsibilitiesYou will specify key metrics for governance to guarantee compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities. You will define data policies and standards, managing stakeholder communication and progress reporting to leadership and executives. You will lead key issues and escalations around data governance and collaborate closely with Data Business Partners, Cybersecurity, and IT operations teams to establish data governance best practices to enhance data quality. You will also utilize your experience in the implementation of data governance solutions in the areas of data quality, data lineage, data glossary, data security management, metadata management, and advanced data analysis. You will document data governance policies, manage the adoption of data governance efforts, and collaborate with the legal and information security teams to reduce overall business risks.

The RequirementsThe ideal candidate for a data governance or related data function position should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Engineering with 10 years of experience in data governance within relevant financial services or asset management firms. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of data governance and data quality industry practices and frameworks, as well as knowledge of business, regulatory, and technology issues related to the governance and management of data. The candidate must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. In summary, the ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, and soft skills to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role.
