Job Description

Responsibilities include: Automate the build, operation, backup, restore, and monitoring of databases (on-prem, private and public cloud) used across Group Develop and evaluate database infrastructure performance criteria and measurement methods Support day-to-day operations and management of an enterprise-level production database in the cloud Monitors user access and performance of the database systems Create best practices for cloud database operations Participation in maintenance windows and on-call rotation is required Contributing to other support and automation efforts as required.

Job Requirements
Minimum of 8 Years of relevant work experience required which includes 5+ years of MySQL administration experience Capable of MySQL deployment and maintenance Familiar with different database technologies including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, OLAP (BigQuery, SSIS, Striim) Very strong and solid experience in database administration in a cloud environment. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems Very good Knowledge of indexes, index management, statistics, data-at-rest encryption, secure connectivity, database performance tuning Should be familiar with DevOps principles and practices. Experience in Python, Terraform, and Ansible to automate repetitive tasks. Flexibility to work non-business hours that includes weekends and/or holidays Familiar with ITIL processes such as Change, Incident Management. Candidates with AWS/GCP Cloud Certification are preferred.
