• Manage day to day production database activities e.g. DB health check, system availability, performance, security patching
• Database capacity planning for production DBs
• Manage all non-prod (development, test, performance test, training, DMU) environment databases
• A good knowledge of the Database design and implementation
• Must have very good knowledge on backup and recovery (RMAN, expdp/impdp etc.)
• Implement and maintain database security (DB vault, VPD, create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges etc.)
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
• Patch management (PSU and CPU) for grid infrastructure and DB
• A good knowledge on Oracle stream (normal and downstream)
• Must have hands on experience on RAC, ASM and data guard
• Working experience as oracle DBA in a production environment
• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required
• Experience in MS SQL Server administration
• Good to have knowledge in MySQL and Teradata
