Job Description

4+ years of experience in supporting MS SQL & Oracle Server environments.

• Strong experience in Database Administration in Microsoft SQL Server versions ( 2005,2008,2008 R2, 2012, 2014 , 2016 ,2017 & 2019) & Oracle
• Experience on Failover Clustering Instances, Database Mirroring, Replication ,Log shipping, AlwaysOn Availability Group -configuration and troubleshoot issues
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, optimize databases ,using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, capacity planning, Installation, migration and other related monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU,memory,I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands and recovery on database failure
• Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching, upgrade management.
• Knowledge of SQL Server tools ( Profiler, DTA, SSMS, DAC)
• Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components and enforcing security standards for databases
• Documentation skills for processes and procedures ( creating KBs, runbooks, topology )
• Daily health monitoring of database system and data integrity checks
• Collect and analyze database performance information, identify and implement solutions for performance problems
• Work with users, vendors to take timely and appropriate steps to resolve and troubleshoot issues impacting service levels and conduct root cause analysis
• Strong Knowledge on Qracle and Handon Exp on Oracle environment.
