A great opportunity for an experienced and professional Database Administrator to work in the Technology and Operations Infrastructure team in supporting their database applications.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• A degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems;
• Has at least 4 years of strong work experience in Maria DB or MySQL administration;
• Proficient in writing SQL commands;
• Proficient in writing Linux shell scripts for maintenance and automation purposes;
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red hat) and related commands;
• Handson experience of MariaDB Maxscale HA;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication;
• Should be a strong team player.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Familiarity with other databases such as PostgreSQL/EDB, MS SQL.

Responsibilities

• To set up Master Slave replication, Multi Master replication, backup, point in time recovery, high available configurations and disaster recovery in a complex and dynamic production environment;
• Ability to work various work schedules that support a 24\xc3\x977 coverage may include nights, weekends and holidays;
• Engage with various teams on resolution and maintain effective communication between stakeholders;
• To ensure performance, security, and availability of databases;
• Add recommendations on architecture/design decisions that will ensure optimal application performance with MySQL/MariaDB;
• Maintaining production, UAT and dev databases without outage;
• Prepare documentations and specifications.
