Roles & Responsibilities
Database and Scalability Engineer
- Develop data models and perform planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards and implementation
- Provide technical assistance to engineers to design stable, reliable and effective databases
- Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest corrective actions
- Analyse and determine information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
- Oversee system performance lifecycle and identify key metrics for performance improvements
Requirements
- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering & IT related fields or related technical discipline
- 6+ years of related experience in design, maintenance, and administration of RDBMS and NOSQL databases
- Extensive experience in database scalability, profiling and optimization
- Expert ability to identify / resolve system bottlenecks
- Ability to solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Proficiency in any scripting language as Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.
