Roles & Responsibilities
:
Primary Objectives
  • Oversees content strategy and digital communication efforts to deliver data-driven storytelling that serves organisational messaging objectives across POE media.
  • Manage social media, content development and digital marketing teams to optimise end-to-end execution in the overall creative framework. Candidate should be comfortable at setting high-level strategies as well as supporting the delivery of best-in-class content, from overseeing the entire content development process to driving a digital marketing strategy for amplification and audience segmentation.
  • Establish and oversee digital content framework aligned with organisational goals and objectives (brand, purpose, vision, mission and values) as well as to support client\'s mission of promoting community building, racial harmony and social cohesion.
  • Responsible for creating content to use on social media to develop, engage, and inform various target audiences across channels, platforms and partners.
  • Drive best-in-class digital content, competent in content strategy as well as effective integrated marketing tools and techniques.
  • Stay on top of digital marketing trends, attribution models and analytical tools to track the effectiveness of online campaigns and utilise data-driven insights to inform future creative decisions.
Strategy Development and Implementation Develop and drive effective strategies and tactical plans to enhance client\'s digital presence across social media networks as well as shape positive public perception and online brand persona:
  • Develop and drive the creation of digital content framework, aligned with client\'s organisational goals and objectives (brand, purpose, vision, mission and values) as well as supporting to mandate to promote community building, racial harmony and social cohesion.
  • Lead and execute the entire lifecycle of content strategy, from content production to amplification. This includes the development and execution of content marketing plans, content identities/voice, editorial calendars, content playbooks.
  • Manage the social media, content development & digital marketing teams to ensure they deliver successfully; build good relationships with key stakeholders (internal & external) to understand project requirements; set clear and relevant KPIs.
  • Lead the development of key standards, systems and best practices to enable the implementation of robust content strategies, including the setting of editorial strategies to ensure the delivery of consistent and compelling content across all relevant online channels.
  • Expand thinking on how content can be used to grow brand relationships with our stakeholders (including grassroots leaders and community volunteers).
Project Management
  • Guide and manage the in-house social media, content production & strategy teams and appointed vendors (content producers and creative professionals) in producing quality digital content for different mediums. This includes end-to-end content production process which involves overseeing and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and sound execution of content.
  • Spearhead the creation of best-in-class digital content; drive the production of a range of compelling content assets including written content, infographics, short/long form video and other creative deliverables.
  • Ensure that projects meet set objectives and performance KPIs, delivered on time and within approved budget.
Capability Development
  • Oversee the social media capability development of client\'s communications officers and grassroots organisations, including establishing a training framework with tangible KPIs for execution as well as overseeing systemic skills development and upgrading in tandem with evolving industry trends and best practices
  • Lead the establishment of in-house expertise in story-telling and content production
  • Ensure that best practices are regularly curated and exchanged through different platforms (eg. Communities of Practice).
Incident Management
  • As a member of the crisis communications team, help sense-make, produce appropriate content and oversee the amplification of such content through various mediums.
Administration and Management
  • Oversees sound team management practices to foster effective work processes and relationships within social media and other teams within MDCD and across Comms Group
  • Provide regular and timely updates to management on performance of social media platforms and channels
  • Ensure that team complies with all government financial and governance guidelines
  • Manage the team\xe2\x80\x99s project budgets to ensure effective and prudent deployment of resources in line with targeted outcomes
Skills & Experience
  • A key leader within the team, he should have excellent communication skills as well as be conversant with emerging forms of content, channels, and technology.
  • Extensive experience in news publishing, ideally having worked in a digital agency with at least 10 years of content strategy experience (including digital and social media).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as experience managing teams
  • Professional experience creating and optimizing content for platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Working Arrangement: Working Hours: Office Hours (Mon-Fri) Location: Near Jalan Besar Salary: Monthly Rated (TBA) Contract Duration: 3 Years
