What the role is: The jobholder will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the procurement function, building projects and organisation management strategies within MOM. He/she will be responsible for driving procurement excellence, effective project management, optimizing efficient organisational operations to support the achievement of strategic objectives.What you will be working on:What you will be working on: \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive cost-efficient procurement strategies while upholding compliance standards \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and OM team, ensuring compliance to the Government Instruction Manual \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee workplace safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of workplace safety and well-being for all MOM officers \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive workplace sustainability efforts, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, environmental sustainability practices yet ensuring an inclusive workplace \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage office upgrading and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, budget management and timely completion of renovation projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee office relocation projects, including planning, coordination and execution to ensure a smooth transition for MOM officers \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee office maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance contracts and facility management to ensure a safe and functional work environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the management of mail despatch operations \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee Business Contingencies Planning activitiesWhat we are looking for:What we are looking for: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in any field \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 15 years of experience in procurement and project management, preferably in the public sector \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in regulatory requirements, compliance standards and contract management \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently with multiple stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 A team player with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical skills and attentive to details \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet tight timelines \xe2\x80\xa2 Versatile and adaptable in a complex operational environmentAbout Ministry of Manpower:The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) aims to develop a productive workforce and progressive workplaces, for Singaporeans to have better jobs and a secure retirement.
