Short Description

In this position the appointee will lead Institute for Adult Learning (IAL)\'s efforts to drive adoption of workplace learning and performance through the various initiatives to raise workplace competencies. The appointee will report to the Executive Director with the following professional responsibilities.

  • Provide leadership and strategic directions to the institute\'s Business Development teams to conduct market scans and analysis to gain quantitative and qualitative assessment of markets to source and cultivate new leads and qualified business opportunities.
  • Provide consultancy services to enterprises for workplace learning to deepen skills and develop staff with IAL\'s suite of products and services including innovative corporate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, Speaker Series, Innov programmes and Learning Journeys for enterprises
  • Lead and drive the marketing team to develop robust marcom strategies and marketing tools, including press and social media presence
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with public and private sectors to foster partnerships and enhance stakeholder relationships
  • Coach, mentor and develop internal capabilities to build a high performance teams
  • Any other duties, including cross-divisional projects or events, that may be assigned by the Executive Director
Job Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification preferably in the areas of Adult Education, Workforce Development, Human Capital Development
  • At least 8 years of experience in management role in Business Development or Consultancy, education and training related fields such as professional development, learning and development or workforce development
  • Proven networking and negotiation capabilities with track record in establishing partnerships to deliver corporate objectives and key performance indicators
  • Proven team management capabilities, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, mentor, engage and motivate staff to achieve organisational goals, as well as maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong strategic, analytical thinking and planning skills, with the ability to drive and develop effective strategies and programmes in TAE space
  • Resilient and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) qualification or equivalent preferred
  • The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station
