What the role is:As Deputy Director (Workplace Services) of the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA), you will support Director (Finance, Procurement & Workplace Services) in the setting up and management of the workplace services function of the agency. The CDA is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore\'s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. It will consolidate and build on the public health functions under MOH, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, and the Health Promotion Board. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time for a smooth transition to the CDA.What you will be working on:Your key responsibilities include the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the planning of CDA\'s mid-term and long-term office space requirements, including the management of CDA\'s office leases. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the full scale renovation project for CDA offices, including the design consultancy process, to ensure CDA\'s offices reflect its corporate identity and provide a conducive environment for staff. This involves managing the full spectrum of CDA renovation projects, including procurement management, project management and stakeholder management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the day to day running of CDA\'s office operations and the provision of office services to CDA divisions, including managing key facilities-related contracts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive the implementation of Greengov.sg initiatives for CDA\'s offices and ensure CDA complies with the necessary rules, regulations and requirements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Be responsible for preparing CDA\'s annual sustainability disclosures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Be involved in the setting up of CDA\'s records management function and oversee the function subsequently, including the records management related systems, to ensure CDA\'s public records (both physical and digital) are properly stored and accessed based on stated access rights policy and that CDA complies with the Government Instruction Manual on Management of Public Records. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish a strong filing culture within CDA where important documents are filed timely and properly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Be involved in the setting up of CDA\'s mailroom function and oversee the function subsequently. The jobholder may be activated for duty on weekends and after office hours, as and when the need arises.What we are looking for:Job Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 10 years of relevant working experience in facilities/estate management, with at least 5 years in middle management capacity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Building related fields is preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong leadership skills and good team player. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective stakeholder (including CDA\'s Senior Management team) management, communication and interpersonal skills to co-create solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good team player. \xe2\x80\xa2 Independent and self-driven with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and perform under pressure and tight timelines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective writing and presentation skills with a good command of English preferred.
