Deputy General Manager, Human Resources

The incumbent will be a crucial member of the team, whereas you will assist the GM, HR to oversee and manage the human resources function of the company in a customer-focused, quality-driven manner. This includes developing and implementing strategic workforce plans, learning and development programs, HR policies and practices, and providing expert advice to the board, executives, and managers on complex HR matters and workforce strategy. The incumbent will also be responsible for workplace relations, labour union management, recruitment and selection, work, health and safety, compensation & benefits management, performance management and code of conduct investigations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Strategic workforce planning and reporting.
  • Learning and development, and organisational capability improvement.
  • Implementing and evaluating human resource policies, programs and practices.
  • Providing support and advice to the Board, executive, and managers on complex HR matters and workforce strategy.
  • Workplace relations and promote company cultures/value.
  • Work together with labour union on the best outcome for both employers and employees.
  • Recruitment, selection, induction, probation, and exit processes.
  • Work, health, and safety and compliance to SHE ordinance.
  • Compensation & Benefits Management and Performance Management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
The ideal candidate is passionate about driving and influencing the organisational culture and working with people.
To be successful in this role, you will be a leader with senior human resources experience in the mining industry, have strong HR experience across a range of HR fields and have the ability to inspire and challenge a team.

The Successful Applicant

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
Minimum 10 years\' experience in the capacity as a senior manager or above with human resources management experience in the mining industry, strong experience across a range of HR fields.
A Degree holder or above in Human Resources Management or related discipline, post graduate qualification is an advantage.
