As the Operations Manager at ASEAN Cableship Pte Ltd, you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and management of submarine cable repair operations. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the continuous functionality of undersea communications networks by leading a team of dedicated professionals in a high stake, challenging, and dynamic environment.

• Project Management: Lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the submarine cable repair and maintenance projects from start to finish.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals including project managers, divers, technicians, and support staff. Ensure efficient teamwork and alignment with company goals.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
• Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Implement and enforce safety measures to minimize risks to personnel and equipment.
• Logistics and Supply Chain: Oversee the logistical aspects of cable repair operations, including procurement, inventory management, and transportation of materials and equipment.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution and foster partnerships.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement performance metrics and KPIs to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, making data-driven improvements as necessary.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in submarine cable repair operations. Drive initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce cost.
• Crisis Management: Prepare and execute contingency plans for unexpected challenges or emergencies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum network reliability.

Skills for Success

• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Operations Management, or similar)
• 5+ years of experience in submarine cable repair or related maritime operations management.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams
• Knowledge of undersea cable systems, repair techniques, and industry standards
• Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools and methodologies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in underwater or maritime operations
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging conditions.
• Proficiency in using software tools for project management and financial tracking.
