Job Description

What the role is:

Reporting to Manager, the incumbent is to assist with Workday implementation and manage Accounts Receivable operation such as month end closing and recording of daily transactions to the appropriate accounts in the accounting system.

What you will be working on:

1. Ensure timely month end closing including all related activities such as preparation of journals/schedules, clearance of aged items, GST reporting, variance analysis etc. 2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of AR billings and collections 3. Review of AR Aging and follow up on arrears 4. Perform audited turnover reconciliation 5. Assist with Workday implementation on system interfaces and Customer module 6. Ensure proper internal controls in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Finance Instruction Manual and relevant legislation 7. Liaise with internal/external auditors, bankers and tax agent 8. Any other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

\xc2\xb7 Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification \xc2\xb7 At least 6 years of relevant experience of finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years of experience in supervisory role \xc2\xb7 Analytical and meticulous with an eye for details \xc2\xb7 Good problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with a balanced sense of perspective \xc2\xb7 Sense of initiative and responsibility with the ability to work with minimal supervision \xc2\xb7 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xc2\xb7 Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure \xc2\xb7 Able to work in dynamic environment \xc2\xb7 Well versed in accounting standards and internal controls \xc2\xb7 Well versed in using various computerized accounting systems and familiar with ERP applications eg Oracle, Workday \xc2\xb7 Proficient with MS Office especially Excel
