:Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Lead the overall design process for the data centre, ensuring all architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) elements are integrated into a cohesive design that meets the clients requirements and project goals.\xc2\xb7 Manage and guide the in-house design team, external consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring that designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\xc2\xb7 Oversee the review and approval of all design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project specifications.\xc2\xb7 Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the design team, addressing client concerns, providing regular updates, and ensuring client satisfaction with design solutions.\xc2\xb7 Identify design risks early in the process, working with relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks and resolve design-related issues in a timely manner.\xc2\xb7 Drive innovation in the design process by recommending value engineering solutions, cost-effective design alternatives, and methods to optimize the functionality and efficiency of the data centre.\xc2\xb7 Ensure the design complies with all relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations, as well as the requirements of regulatory bodies and local authorities.\xc2\xb7 Develop and manage the design phase of the project schedule, ensuring that key milestones are achieved and that the project progresses on time.\xc2\xb7 Work with the project team to establish and manage design-related costs, ensuring that the design process remains within budget and that resources are allocated effectively.\xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate design documentation, ensuring that all changes, approvals, and communications are properly documented. Provide regular design progress reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders.RequirementsRequirements:\xc2\xb7 Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, etc.) would be an advantage.\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5-10 years of experience in design management within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects like data centres or commercial buildings.\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of design principles, architectural and engineering systems, and familiarity with data centre design requirements, including specialized systems like HVAC, electrical, and IT infrastructure.\xc2\xb7 Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate and motivate cross-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.\xc2\xb7 Strong ability to identify potential design issues early and implement effective solutions.
