Job Description

Overview:

• Correspond to design, fit, maintain and deliver prosthetic legs.

• Will be responsible for fieldwork - going to patients houses for scanning stumps and fitting prosthetics.

• Go to different places not only in Metro Manila but as well as provinces via several nights up to a week

• Making and reporting of work reports (like daily reports)

• 3D printer operation and maintenance, data processing associated with it.

• There will be a month-long training and selection examinations at the end of the training. If you do not pass the examinations, you will be assigned to another position that is not this DPE.

Work Details:

• Correspond to design, fit, maintain and deliver prosthetic legs

• Patients contact part

• Evaluate patients to determine their situation and needs to provide prosthetics

• Measure patients in order to design proper prosthetics

• 3D-Scan the part of a patient's body in order to get 3D data for a prosthetics design

• Design prosthetics using 3D-CAD software

• Check and observe the fitting condition and adjust the prosthesis leg to match with the patient

• Instruct patients how to use and care for their devices

• Repair or update prosthetics

• Record on all required documents for all of the patients' information

• Correspond travel and delivery service and go to patient homes in a specified span

• Workspace management

• Regular cleaning

• Inspection and inventory management of materials such as filament(3D printer material)

• Management and maintenance of tools

• 3D printer operation and maintenance, data processing associated with it

• Production part

• Reads specifications to define type of prosthesis to be fabricated and prepare materials and tools required

• Download and save the data required for printing with a 3d printer on the computer

• Preparation for 3D printer to print prosthetic body : Material installation, sub-materials replacement

• adjust the setting like height etc.

• Other tasks related to production of prosthetics as assigned by the manager and superiors.

• There's a selection test at the end of the lecture.

• Secondary education (4 weeks by practical lecture)

• Teaching while making prosthetic legs

• Below Knee type: min 3 patients (2 weeks classroom lecture and 2 weeks practical training)

• Above Knee type: min 3 patients (2 weeks classroom lecture and 2 weeks practical training)

• Selection test at the end (2nd turn)

• Enhance skill through On the Job Training with expert member

• Depending on the skill and ability but plan to 1 month

• If a candidate fails any selection tests during training

• Assign them as Technicians that salary will be around 15,000 - 18,000 pesos.

• Salary during training

• 80% of the price of the provisional period will be paid.

• Ex: If the price of the provisional period is 25,000pesos/month, 20,000pesos will be paid on training terms of 1 month.

Qualifications:

• With bachelor degree of any engineering/science course preferably Mechanical Engineering

• The ability to work under strict deadlines without letting the shortage of time affect the quality of work

• Knowledge on resolving design and functional issues arising in the course of a project

• Good verbal and written communicator in English

• Self-motivated, self-disciplined and can do the job with minimal supervision

• Standard computer skills: Word, Excel, email, online communication tools (slack, etc.)
